The Agriculture Scientist Recruitment Board (ASRB) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) conducts Agricultural Research Service (ARS) Examination for appointment as Scientists in Agricultural Research Service (ARS) of Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The prelims for ARS Examination will be conducted in 55 disciplines on 24 February 2013 at 33 centres across the country.

Eligibility Criteria for ARS Examination 2012

Educational Qualification (as on 31 October 2012):
Master’s degree in the concerned discipline with specialization in any of the 55 disciplines mentioned in the notification

Age Limit (as on 1 August 2012):
Minimum 21 years, Maximum 32 years

Selection procedure for ARS Examination 2012:
Candidates will be selected on the basis of two separate competitive examinations followed by viva voce.

The application form should be hand written and the envelope containing the application form should be super scribed in bold letters as: “Application for ARS Examination– 2012” along with Preliminary Examination Centre, Code No., ARS Examination Discipline, and Code No. Applications received through Couriers or Courier Services of any type shall be treated as having been received By Hand at the Board’s Counter.

Application Fee:

The application fee to be paid by Women/ SC/ ST/ PH candidate is Rs 20, and for General and OBC category candidate is Rs 500. The fee needs to be paid in the form of Crossed Bank Draft only drawn in favour of Secretary, ASRB and payable at New Delhi with the application form. Candidates should write their name and address on the reverse of the Demand Draft.
